TSG104 - Greetings Earthling!

I have been trying to play along with the There She Goes weekly challenges for such a long time, and I just never got around to getting one finished.....until TODAY!

This week the TSG Challenge was a sketch.  I LOVE a good sketch!  I started out by using the newer set, Out Of This World.  It just came in the mail (yesterday, actually!) so it was just waiting more me to ink it up!  I stamped the little monster, along with his planet perch onto Neenah paper, then coloured it in with my copics.  I cut him out using my circles nestabilities, then with the die still in place, I traced around the edges with a black marker.

The paper is from the Echo Park Little Boy collection.  I paired it with some Wild Wasabi and Night of Navy cardstock.

I kept the inside fairly simple, using more of the DP and added the stars and sentiment, also from the Out Of This World set.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Have a great weekend!

Supplies
Stamps - Out of this World (There She Goes)
Paper - Neenah, Wild Wasabi, Night of Navy, Echo Park Little Boy

The Princess & her Frogs!

Good Morning!

Today, at Stamp Fairy, this adorable little princess is being released! Complete, with her frogs, of course!

I decided to make a little bit of a scene for our princess.  The papers are from the Echo Park Springtime line.  I printed out the princess and coloured her with my copics.  The frogs are actually just the frog she is holding, but I cut them out and coloured them separately.

A short and sweet post today!  I'm running a little late, and must get DD ready for school!

Have a great day!

Viva La Verve

I actually made it!  I got my four cards made for the Viva La Verve challenge for April!

This just might be one of my most favourite sketches, ever!  I just love it!  And, it was even better that Shannan was kind enough to give us a tutorial, on how she did it!  It was so helpful, especially the parts on arranging them first, and only gluing down the middle!

For my card, I used the new Bloom & Grow set, as well as the Floral Circles die and Elegant Leaves die.  I stamped the leaves with Old Olive ink, then cut them out using the die.  The flowers are just some of the DP cut out with the Floral Circles, stacked, then tied with a button and some Scrappers Floss.

The papers are from the Crate Paper Restoration line.  The sentiment is from the Blue Skies set.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Supplies
Stamps - Blue Skies (Verve), Bloom & Grow (Verve)
Paper - Kraft, Choice Buttercream, Crate Paper Restoration
Other - Floral Circles Die, Elegant Leaves Die, MFT Open Scallop Die-Namic, Ribbon

Handle with care

I'm a little late working on this TCP Tuesday #155 challenge, but I loved the sketch, and finally got a chance to play!

There seem to be a lot of babies being born right now, so I have been kind of in a baby card mode!

This (obviously!) is my little boy card!  I used the set Bear Hugs, a newer set from the Cat's Pajamas.  I stamped the bear in Memento Tuxedo Black onto SU Whisper White CS and coloured it in with my copics.  I then created a cloudy sky, using a cut out cloud and some Baja Breeze ink.  I used the TCP Grass Cut Up for the grass, and then mounted the bear on top!  The papers are from My Minds Eye Fine & Dandy True Blue collection.  To finish the card, I cut out hearts using the TCP Heart Trio Cut Up, then stamped the sentiment.

My girl card uses exactly the same stuff as my boy card, but the papers are from the MME Fine & Dandy Tickled Pink line!

Also, I know Jeanie was lookin' for some more entries for her That's Krafty Thursday #50 challenge.....so, at the last minute, I'll add these!  Obviously, I am adding them because I used LOTS of Kraft cardstock!

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies
Stamps - Bear Hugs (TCP)
Paper - Kraft, Whisper White, Certainly Celery, Old Olive, MME True Blue & Tickled Pink
Other - TCP Grass Cut Ups, TCP Hearts Trio Cut Up

Princess of Quite a Lot!

I just LOVE that saying....and I think I may have had my DD say it to me once or twice!

And, I think it goes without saying that this little Lollipop Princess, by none other than Lori Boyd fits this sentiment perfectly!

I used paper from Echo Park Springtime, which worked perfectly with this week's colours in the By Lori Designs Colour Challenge #14

This little princess was printed out on SU Whisper White CS, coloured with copics, then cut out with my oval nestabilities.

The sketch I used is the Sweet Stop Sketch #105.  I did flip it on its side to make it work though!

My sentiment is computer generated, in Photoshop, using the FG Typical font. I then used my Modern Label Punch to punch it out.

That is it for today.  Time to get ready for the normal school day routine!

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies
Stamps - Lollipop Princess (By Lore Designs)
Paper - Kraft, So Saffron, Soft Sky, Whisper White, Echo Park Springtime
Other - Nestabilities, Copics, Modern Label Punch (SU)

Another Post Today...

I've got another card to share today....and it just can't wait until tomorrow!

This is the card I created for the Anita Be Stampin' Challenge #17, which was this awesome sketch! I found this adorable paper from Creative Imaginations, and thought it would work perfectly with Celebration Cooper.  I stamped Cooper with Memento Tuxedo Black onto SU Whisper White CS and colored her in with my copics.

I cut the sentiment out with my oval nestabilities and then cut Cooper out freehand.  Then I added some Clear Glaze to the balloon to give it some shine.

My sewing machine got some work on this one, stitching around all the panels....and it appears like it got a little angry near the end....I guess there were too many layers to sew through!

Well, that is definitely it for today!  Hopefully I'll get lots of colouring done tonight, and have a week's worth of posts! (HA!)

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies
Stamps - Celebration Cooper (Anita Be Stampin')
Paper - Kraft, Whisper White, Basic Black, Creative Imaginations DP
Other - Copics, Nestabilities, Brads, Sewing Machine

Birthday Wishes...

On Saturday, it was my mom's birthday, so we did a double celebration....a great Easter dinner, with birthday cake!

This is the card I made for her.

The sketch for this card is the Viva La Verve Week 3 sketch for April.  I started by using some more of my MME Stella & Rose Gertie papers, and paired it with the Amazing Wishes set from Verve.  The flower (my favourite in the set!) was stamped 3 times in Memento Tuxedo Black onto SU Whisper White and some of the DP.  I coloured 2 of them with my copics, then cut them all out.  The tag is the Sweet Scallop Tag stamp, then I cut it out using the Sweet Scallop Die

I added details to the card using my sewing machine, added some lace and tied my flowers with some Scrappers Floss.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Supplies
Stamps - Amazing Wishes (Verve), Sweet Scallop Tag (Verve)
Paper - Kraft, Rose Red, So Saffron, Whisper White, MME Stella & Rose Gertie
Other - Copics, Sweet Scallop Die, Lace Trim, Scrappers Floss, Sewing Machine

Every One of My Thoughts

Good morning!

Recently, I had a friend ask me to make her a few sympathy, or thinking of you cards.  You always need to have these cards, but never like to make them, and never have them when you need them.

I hadn't played along with the April Viva La Verve sketches, so I used 2 of them on these cards.  This first card is the VLV Week 1 Sketch.

This sketch had me a little worried the card would end up being way to busy, but I LOVE the way it turned out!  I started with papers from October Afternoon Everafter.  Then, I stamped the butterfly, from Blue Skies, onto SU Very Vanilla CS, and coloured it in with my copics.  The notebook paper and swirls are also from the Blue Skies set.  The sentiment is from Always On My Mind, and that was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black.

After I had all the panels cut out and then distressed, I sewed them all to my base.  I added some brads (SU!), then popped the sentiment and butterfly up with dimensionals.

My second card features mostly the same items, just the sketch from Week 2!

For this one, I stamped the Sweet Scallop Tag stamp, then added my sentiment and flourish (which is also from Blue Skies).  Then I cut it out using the Sweet Scallop Die.  Then I mounted the tag using dimensionals, and added some twine, brads and that gorgeous butterfly.

I finished off the insides with some more of the Everafter DP, and that's it!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great day!

Sweet Sunday Sketch

*this is my second post today!  Scroll down a little for my Stamp Fairy New Release!*

Only, I am just getting to mine on Friday!

It has been a while since I have been able to play along in Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch, but I made sure to play along this week!  What a great sketch this week! (well, really, they all are!)  And, of course I HAD to play along with Jeanie's That's Krafty Thursday #50 challenge again!  I think Jeanie would miss me if I didn't have at least a few cards in her challenge!

I started by using Baby Sarah and her toys, from By Lori Designs.  I printed her out on SU Whisper White CS, and coloured and shaded with my copics.  I cut her out using my nestabilities.

These adorable papers are from October Afternoon Girl Friday.   The sentiment is from the Verve Stamps set, To The Moon.

On the inside of the card I used more of the Girl Friday paper, and added another sentiment from the To The Moon set.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Supplies
Stamps - Baby Sarah & her Toys (By Lori Designs), To The Moon (Verve Stamps)
Paper - Whisper White, Kraft, Old Olive, Rose Red, October Afternoon Girl Friday

New Release Friday!

Good Morning!  I can't believe it is already Easter....this year is just flying by!

As with every Friday, there is a new release at Stamp Fairy!

This is one of the new Muffin Angel!  Isn't she adorable?!  I started out by printing her out onto SU Whisper White and colouring her in with copics.  My sketch is from the Sweet Stop.

I used papers from the October Afternoon Girl Friday line.  I added some machine stitching around the panels for some added detail.  The embellishments are both die-namics from My Favorite Things.

Here is a peek of the other new images!

Blast From The Past Day!

It's time for another Taylored Expressions Blast from the Past Blog Hop!  I can't believe that there have already been 10 of these awesome hops!  This month Taylor has challenged us to keep our cards Clean & Simple.  And, of course, Sankari has also given us an awesome sketch to work with.

If you have just happened upon my blog, and would like to start at the beginning, head over to the Taylored Expressions blog to get started.  There is also a list of hoppers at the bottom of this post!

I actually made 2 cards for the hop today, so sit back and enjoy!

I absolutely LOVE the Make a Wish set!  It is definitely on my list of faves from Taylored Expressions.  I used this set for both of my cards today.

I began by stamping the cake, complete with a few candles in Memento Tuxedo Black, onto Choice Snow White CS, then colouring it in with my copics.  To give the candles a little sparkle, I added some Smooch Illuminate.

The sketch is Sankari's BFTP Sketch, and the papers are from my Winnie's Wall Project Pantry that has been sitting unused, just waiting!

For the inside of the card, I used more of the Winnie's Wall DP, and stamped a sentiment from the set.

Onto my second card....

For this card, I used the TESC #136 for my layout, but flipped it.  The stars are from the You're My Hero set, another favourite of mine!

I stamped the star in Riding Hood Red, Wild Wasabi, Ballet Blue and More Mustard ink.  The cake was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black, and coloured with my copics.

The card was finished off with some machine stitching!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Don't forget to hop on over to all the TE BFTP participants.....there could be some goodies!

TESC 136

First, I am so glad that the Taylored Expressions Sketches are back!  They are so much fun, and it is a great way to make sure my TE stamps get the inking they deserve!

I have actually had this card finished for a few days, but just haven't gotten it posted yet!

I used the set You're My Hero.  This is the first time I have actually used the guitars in the set, but I don't know why I waited so long....they are AWESOME!   This sketch (TESC #136) is so versatile, you can make it as CAS or as detailed as you like.  I went with the CAS style, giving the amazing paper from We R Memory Keepers Teen Angst line to stand out.

I started by stamping the base for the guitar in Red Riding Hood ink, then using my Stamp-a-ma-jig, completed the guitar.  I cut it out and popped it up on the card with some dimensionals.

On the inside of the card, I used more of the Teen Angst paper, and again stamped the guitar.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

It's A Free for all!

The challenge at Anita Be Stampin' this week, was anything goes! (and yes, I am totally just sneaking in under the wire with this one!)

I used the adorable little bear from the Bears & Bunches set, stamping her on SU Whisper White CS, then colouring and shading with my copics.  I cut her out with my nestabilities, then pierced around the edges.

The layout is from the Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge blog.  (another sketch blog I have only just stumbled upon!)  The sketch had a spin this week, which was to use "winged things", but I didn't do that....maybe I'll get to another one this week with something "winged".

All my papers are from the MME Stella & Rose Hazel collection, another new thing I LOVE!

Also, since I used my beloved Kraft CS, this fits in with the amazing Spotted Chick's That's Krafty Thursday #50.  I do love my Kraft CS, and thankfully, so does Jeanie!

I used my MFT Perfect Petal Trio Die-namic and Button Quartet Die-namic for some embellishments.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great evening!

Snail Mail at Stamp Fairy

Good Morning!  It's Friday already....and that means another release from Stamp Fairy.

This week, Gerda has released some Silly Snails!

I printed my silly snail out onto SU Whisper White CS, then coloured her in with my copics.  I used some Distress Stickles on the shell to give it a bit of texture.  My DD just LOVES this card, so she'll likely be giving it to one of her friends for a birthday!

The layout for this card is based on the Sweet Stop Sketch #103.  This site has some amazing sketches, and I can't wait to play with more!

All the papers and embellishments are from my January 2011 Key Ingredients kit from Taylored Expressions.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  It's supposed to be a rainy weekend here in SW Ontario, so hopefully I'll get some stamping time in!

Supplies
Stamps - Snails (Stamp Fairy)
Paper - SU Whisper White, TE Key Ingredients Kit

When I saw these adorable bears, complete with a huge cupcake released at Stamp Fairy last month, I KNEW it would be a great addition to my collection!

This is Lenny Cupcakes, and that cupcake is just good enough to eat!  I printed these guys out onto SU Whisper White CS, and coloured them in with copics.  I added some Espresso Dimensional Pearls as the frosting on the cupcakes, and some Crystal Effects on the balloon.

The papers are from Imaginise Birthday Bash.

Quick post today!  Thanks for stopping by!

A Little Rain..

can sure bring out some amazing rainbows!  I can't even begin to describe how nice it is to FINALLY have some spring weather!  It has been a bit windy, but I'll take sunshine and wind over snow!

The fabulous colour challenge at By Lori Designs this week was Melon Mambo, Regal Rose, Basic Grey and White.  Echo Park's Be Mine collection totally screamed at me when I saw these colours!

I paired those papers with Ella's Umbrella, who I printed out on SU Whisper White CS, then coloured with copics.  I cut her out with my rectangle nestabilities, and then pierced around the edges.

The sketch is April's SFYTT from Jen del Muro.  I love how it turned out, and I'll definitely be using this one again!

I added some stitching from my trusty sewing machine for some finishing touches!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great day!

Monster Hugs

I'm back....with a card!

I wanted to play along in the Anita Be Stampin' Colour Challenge this week, and it just so happened that my new ABS rubber was in the mail this morning when I returned from the gym!

This is one of the cute monsters from the Monster Hugs set, obviously from Anita Be Stampin!   I started out with a sketch, the Mojo Monday #186 sketch that is!  I stamped the monster with Memento Tuxedo Black onto some SU Very Vanilla CS.  I coloured him in with my copics, then cut him out with my square nestabilities.

The paper is all from the My Mind's Eye Fine & Dandy True Blue collection.

I finished the card off with some orange ribbon, some brown & white twine, and those awesome brads.

The inside uses more of the same papers, and I stamped the monster again for some detail!

Thanks for stopping by today!

It's Friday!

It's Friday!  And we are finally getting some sunshine and "spring" like weather!  Hopefully it will stick around....I have a few tasks I need to get working on outside!

Being Friday, it is also new release day at Stamp Fairy!  They just seem to keep getting better!

I absolutely LOVE this little pig!  I started out by printing the image out onto SU Whisper White CS and colouring it in with my copics.

I used a bunch of different papers from my stash on this card - Ginger Blossom DSP, Rose Red DSP and Haiku DSP.  This isn't the original plan I had for this card, but sometimes things just work out!

The fabulous circle is my MFT Decorative Doily Die-namic.

Here are the rest of these adorable little piggies!  Be sure to check out the Stamp Fairy Blog to see all the DT amazing creations!

Have a great day!

TESC 135

Well, any of you reading this from SW Ontario, know that we still aren't getting any nice spring weather....we got more snow this morning!

As I was thinking of ideas for the TESC #135, I couldn't help but make a Christmas card!

For my Christmas card, I used one of my most favourite TE sets EVER, Winter Wonderland. I began by stamping the snowflake with Baja Breeze and Night of Navy ink.  Then I cut them out using the Winter Wonderland Snowflakes Die and popped them up using dimensionals.

The supplies are all from my December 2010 Key Ingredients kit, with the DP being Wintertime by Echo Park.

I added some details to the card with the sentiment, some ribbon and used my MFT Little Open Scallop Border Die-namic to finish it off.

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies
Stamps - Winter Wonderland (Taylored Expressions)
Paper - December 2010 Key Ingredients Kit
Other - Ribbon, MFT Little Open Scallop Die-namic, Winter Wonderland Snowflake Die (TE), Circle Punches

Sweet Peas

Good Morning!

Today I have 2 cards to share that I created using the Sweet Sketch Wednesday Sketch #95.  These sketches are so much fun, and it's only better when Stamp Fairy is the sponsor!

This little sweet pea is part of the Peapods collection at Stamp Fairy.  I just love the little hat, and how versatile it is! I printed the peapods out onto SU Whisper White CS and coloured them in with my copics.  The papers I used are from the Baja Breeze DSP and Haiku DSP.

For the sentiment, I used To The Moon from Verve.  I stamped the "welcome" in Baja Breeze ink, then added the "baby boy" with Memento Tuxedo Black.

For my little girl card, I used papers from my Almost Amethyst DSP and Haiku.  I thought I would stray from the traditional pink baby girl card.

Again, here is a close up of the sentiment.  I love how it turned out!

Thanks for stopping by today!

At the Beach...

I am definitely not....but wish I was!

Herb is at the beach, and he is the newest release from Stamp Fairy.  I think Herb might be one of my most favourite bears of Gerda's!

For my card today, I used paper from the We R Memory Keepers 72 and Sunny collection.  This just made me feel like summer...ready for the beach!  (really, I am just hoping for the snow to melt!)  I printed Herb out onto SU Whisper White cs, and coloured him in with my copics.  I added a few coats of Clear Glaze to the water to make it look "wet"!

The sketch I used is this week's SCS Sketch #326.

On the inside of the card, I used more of the DP and added another cut out sun, just to make it look a little more like a scene!

Below are the other images of Herb that are now available.  Head on over to the Stamp Fairy store and pick these up.  I'll have to go and do the same!

Have a great Friday!  I hope to get some crafting done today....wedding invitations are completed, so now I have more time for the fun stuff!

Enjoy!
