Ribbons & Buttons

Good Morning!  I'm a little late getting this post up, as this challenge went live yesterday, but better late than never!

Stamp Fairy has sponsored the Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge #71 this week, which is to use Ribbons & Buttons!

I decided I wanted to make a boy birthday card using this challenge, so I went with papers from the Bo Bunny Blast Off collection.

My image is Patches of course!  He was printed on X-Press It Blending card, then coloured with copics.  I then cut him out using my square nestabilities, then doodled around the edges.

The layout for this card is based on the Sweet Stop Sketch #141.  My buttons were all cut out using the Button Quartet Die-namic from My Favorite Things.

Thanks for stopping by today!

supplies
stamps - patches (stamp fairy), birthday phrases (verve)
paper - blast off (bo bunny), whisper white, x-press it, night of navy

Double Challenge!

Good Morning!  Hope you are all enjoying a great weekend!  It's a great weekend here, because there is LOTS of football on!  And, it's playoff football, so it's even better!

I managed to get some crafting time in before the football started yesterday, and created a card for 2 challenges!

I started off with Jen's Deconstructed Sketch #34.  This is another great sketch!  If you haven't checked out Jen's Blog before, head over there....she is incredibly talented, and her sketches are awesome!

I was also checking out some of my FAVOURITE blogs, and noticed that By Lori Designs Challenge Blog was up and running again this year!  YAY!!  I love Lori's images, and her challenges are awesome too! The BLD Challenge #22 is a colour challenge:

I started by printing out Puddle Jumper Harper onto some X-Press It Blending card, and then colouring her with my copics.  I added some stickles to her necklace, and the polka dots on her skirt.

The paper is from my stash, Hoopla-Hysteria by We R Memory Keepers.  I thought it matched the challenge colours pretty well!

Thanks for stopping by today!

supplies
stamps - puddle jumper harper (by lori designs), by the numbers (my favorite things)
paper - kraft, whisper white, x-press it blending card, hoopla-hysteria (we r memory keepers)
other - copics, little open scallop die-namic (my favorite things)

Snowy Saturday...

Good Morning!

I am not sure what the weather has been like in your area as you read this, but I just took down all my Christmas decorations, and for the first time since before they were even put up, we had snow....lots of it!  Does anyone else find it really sad taking all that stuff down??  I LOVED our tree and having it in the house....even though there are lots of needles to vacuum.  However, it is nice to have things back to normal in the living room!

Speaking of back to normal, 2012 has started, and so too, have the Sketches For You To Try.  This month, the sponsor is one of my faves, The Cat's Pajamas.

I used one of my newest sets from TCP, Peeking.  This is really a Christmas set, but it is definitely versatile, and can be used for birthdays too!  PJ was stamped onto SU Whisper White cs, then coloured with copics.  The present was paper pieced using MME A Happy Heart papers.

The kraft panel was embossed using my Cuttlebug Seeing Spots folder, and to finish off the card, I added some Rose Red double stitched ribbon, and three copper brads.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Enjoy your Saturday!

supplies
stamps - peeking (the cat's pajamas)
paper - kraft, soft suede, whisper white, a happy heart (my minds eye)
other - copics, nestabilities, seeing spots (cuttlebug), ribbon (su!), brads (michaels)

Bellarific Friday....on the 13th!

Good Morning!  Happy Friday the 13th!

It has been a terribly long time since I had played along with the Bellarific Friday Challenges.  I had also gotten a new stash of those Uptown Girls, and they were just begging for ink!

This week, the challenge was a sketch!  Totally my favourite kind of challenge!

I started out by stamping Uptown Girl Posh has a Present, onto SU Whisper White, then colouring her in with copics.   After cutting her out with my circle nestabilities, I traced around the edges with my copic multiliner.

The papers are from the Echo Park Be Mine collection.  The sentiment was stamped on Whisper White and cut out using the Circus Panels Cut Ups from The Cat's Pajamas.

On the inside of the card, I stamped Posh again, and added a Happy Birthday sentiment in Melon Mambo.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

supplies
stamps - uptown girl posh has a present (stamping bella), sentiments (stamping bella)
paper - melon mambo, basic black, whisper white, be mine (echo park)
other - copics, nestabilities, circus panels cut-ups (the cat's pajamas), Smooch Illuminate

A - Anything Goes

Good Morning!

I love that there are so many Christmas Card Challenge blogs out there.  I know I just finished sending out a huge number of them, and I do have a lot left over, but it is always nice to get a jump start on making them for the next year!

This week begins a new challenge at the ABC Christmas Card Challenge Blog.  It's A - Anything Goes!

I started by using Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch #149 as the layout for my card.  Again, I used Barry as my character for this card.  He was printed out onto X-Press It Blending Card, then coloured with copics.  After he was cut out with my oval nestabilities, I added some Glassy Accents and Diamond Glitter to the ornaments.

In still going with my goal of using up the hoards of paper I have, I found a few sheets of this paper - Bo Bunny Tis The Season, and have decided to use it up!

Well, that is is from me today.  Have a great day!

Papertake Weekly Challenge

Good morning!  So, this post was supposed to be up yesterday, but it just didn't happen.....so today will be a double post day!

Today is the Papertake Weekly Challenge, which is a Die Cute Special.  And, that isn't a typo!  You are supposed to use a die, and something cute.

Here's what I came up with!

So, for something cute, naturally, I chose Barry!  He was printed out onto X-Press it Blending card, then coloured with copics.  After he was cut out with my rectangle nestabilities, I added some Glossy Accents to his nose, Smooch Illuminate to his skis and some Sparkly Fluff for the "snow".

The sentiment is from a little winter set from Verve Stamps, which was stamped on a mini tab die-namic from MFT.  My other die cut is the Snowflake Cut Up from The Cat's Pajamas.  I LOVE this snowflake!!

On the inside of the card, I added the sentiment again, and the DP, which is the last of my Bo Bunny Winter Joy.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.

Craft Your Days Away

Good Morning!

I hope ya'll had a fabulous holiday season, and are settling back into the "normal" routine!

This year Stamp Fairy is doing things a little bit differently!  There are still releases every week, but instead of having challenges, Stamp Fairy is sponsoring LOTS of Challenge Blogs.

For a bit of a change, I have hopped over to the Sponsorship Team, and here is my first one!

Craft Your Days Away is a bi-weekly challenge blog, and the theme this week is New Beginnings.  I figured there wasn't anything better for a new beginning than a baby!

With the start of a new year, I thought it would be a good idea to start going through my images, and use some that I had neglected in 2011.

First up on the no-longer-neglected list is Toby-Everyday Angel. This image is so perfect for a sweet little baby card! I started by printing Toby out onto some SU Whisper White cs, then coloring it in with my copics.  After "fussy-cuting" it out, I added Glossy Accents to the wings, Liquid Applique to the cloud, then a healthy coating of SU Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.

My layout is another great one from Jen Schults' Deconstructed Sketch #32.  I did flip it onto the side!  The papers are from My Minds Eye Six by Six Dwell.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

supplies
stamps - toby - everyday angel (stamp fairy)
paper - kraft, whisper white, dwell (my minds eye)
other - nestabilities, copics, ribbon (stamping bella)
