MFTWSC21

Good Morning!  Happy long weekend to my American friends!

There finally seems to be an end to the rain, so if the sun comes out for a few days, I just might be able to get my garden planted!  THe nice thing about all the rain, is it sure does make pulling weeds easy!

This week's MFT Wednesday Sketch was just too good to pass up.  Plus, I had some new stamps and die-namics just waiting to get inked!

I started by stamping the oval border and sentiment, from Well Worn Greetings, onto SU Very Vanilla cs.  I used a Rose Red marker to colour the heart.  Then I cut out the labels using the die-namics from the set.

The papers are from My Mind's Eye Stella & Rose Gertie.  I LOVE these papers, and am trying to use them up before I dig into my mew Lime Twist papers!

I added a border with the Faux Crochet Border die-namic, and added some Rose Red stitched ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day!

Supplies
Stamps - Well Worn Greetings (MFT)
Paper - Rose Red, Very Vanilla, MME Stella & Rose Gertie

Stamp Fairy Release - Patriotic Herb

Good Morning!  Another week has come and gone....and that means it is time for another release from Stamp Fairy.  This week Gerda has created some great images for Independence Day!

I kept the layout fairly simple with this one.  I started by printing Patriotic Herb onto SU Whisper White, and then colouring him in with my copics.  I cut him out with scissors, then mounted him onto a circle of Night of Navy cs.  I layered that onto my Decorative Doily, which was die-cut using my MFT Decorative Doily die-namic.

The paper is from an old SU Prints Pack.  To finish it off, I added the sentiment, which was punched out, and some white ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Make sure you check out the rest of the Stamp Fairy DT!

Supplies
Stamps - Patriotic Herb (Stamp Fairy)
Paper - Whisper White, Real Red, Night of Navy, Prints Pack
Other - Copics, Nestabilities, MFT Decorative Doily die-namic, ribbon

Just Sitting Here...

I realized lastnight, colouring, that I hadn't yet played in Jen's Sketch for You to Try for May.....and May is nearly over!

Well, I can now check that off my list!

I started by using one of the Peekers Teddies, from Stamp Fairy.  I just LOVE these teddies, and they are so versatile...they can be used for anything!  I printed the teddy out onto SU Whisper White cs and coloured him in with my copics.  The papers are from the MME Stell & Rose Hattie collection....LOVE these papers!

Stamp Fairy is sponsoring the Crafty Calendar Challenge this month, and the Pile It On Challenge this week, so I thought I would make a card for both, and pile on some other challenges too! (I've listed everything at the bottom of the post!)

Here is the inside of the card too!  I couldn't resist adding another one of those bears!

The other challenges this card works for:

Crafty Calendar Chalenge - use teddy bears
Pile It On Challenge - adorable bears
Clear It Out Challenge - colouring medium
Party Time Tuesday - animal themed
Tuesday Throwdown - use stripes

Thanks for stopping by today!

Supplies
Stamps - Peekers Teddy (Stamp Fairy)
Paper - Early Espresso, Whisper White, Not Quite Navy, MME Stella & Rose Hattie

Back in the groove...

well, at least, hopefully!

For the first time in a long time, the May 2-4 long weekend was great!  Sure we got a bit of rain, but it was mostly at night, or when I was driving, so I am ok with that!  It was sunny and warm, and that is all that matters!

I was able to get a few cards made before the weekend, so since I accomplished nothing (stamping wise) over the weekend, I have a couple still to post!

This is Panda Paul, and he is just so cute, I want to snuggle him!  I printed him out onto some SU Whisper White cs, and then coloured him in with my copics.  He was cut out with my oval nestabilities.  This layout (which I LOVE) is from Karen's Sweet Sketch Sunday #117.  This might be my new favourite card size!  The finished card is 3.5" X 6.25", and the best thing about it, is it doesn't require extra postage when you mail it!

The papers are from my stash of Making Memories Black and White.  The border was done using my MFT Little Open Scallop Die-namic.  The ribbon is from my stash, and I think was attached to a gift!

Hope you have a wonderful Tuesday!  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Supplies
Stamps - Panda Paul (Stamp Fairy)
Paper - Basic Black, Whisper White, Making Memories Black & White
Other - Copics, Nestabilities, Brads, MFT Little Open Scallop Die-namic, Ribbon

Birthday Wishes

Good Morning!

I had a bit of time lastnight (well, I should have been cleaning, but I chose to stamp instead!), and got this card finished for the Viva La Verve Week 3 sketch:

I chose to make a little boy card....and went with the boat from the Text Objects set.  I stamped the boat with Memento Tuxedo Black, then coloured it in with my copics.  I cut it out with my circle nestabilities, then paper pierced around the edges.  The sentiment is from the Birthday Phrases set.

The papers are from Echo Park's Little Boy line.  I love how the paper works!  I added some machine stitching and brads for detail.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Supplies
Stamps - Text Objects (Verve), Birthday Phrases (Verve)
Paper - Kraft, Whisper White, Night of Navy, Echo Park Little Boy

It's Friday! And a LONG WEEKEND!

Good morning!  Where on earth this week went is beyond me....but. it's Friday, and a long weekend, so I guess it is good the week went so quickly!

This week at Stamp Fairy, the release is some adorable little cheerleaders!

I printed Linda Cheerleader out onto SU Whisper White cs, then colored her in with my copics.  Then I cut her out using my oval and scalloped oval nestabilities.  The sketch for this card is the Sweet Sketch Wednesday #102-43.

The papers are from MMY Stella & Rose Mabel collection.  As added detail, I cut out the flower using my TCP Flower Buttons Cut-up, tied it with Scrappers Floss, then added some copper brads.  I've also used lots of Kraft, so I'll just drop this into Jeannie's That's Krafty Thursday #51!

Check out the rest of the images being released today:

Blast from the Past Time!

Good Morning!

I can't believe this is already Wednesday....where has the week gone?!

It is also the 11th Blast from the Past Blog Hop, by Taylored Expressions.  There has been a BFTP Blog Hop for almost a year now....crazy!

This month, not only did we get an awesome sketch from Sankari, but Taylor also challenged us to "make it masculine".

I started by stamping this adorable bear, from Beary Special.  Then, I added the balloon from Beary Special Accessories.  I coloured everything with my copics, then paper pieced the ears, feet and belly of the bear.  I added a few coats of Clear Glaze to the balloon to give it a little bit of shine.

The sketch isn't completely how it was shown, but the basic concept is there!  The papers are from MME Fine & Dandy True Blue.  I have also used lots of Kraft paper, making this a sweet little card for Jeanie's That's Krafty Thursday #51.

To finish the card off, I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment (from Make a Wish), cut it out, and mounted it on top of a star that was die-cut using the MFT Stacking Stars Die-namic.  I added three square brads from MME, and that's it!

Enjoy!  Make sure you hop along to all the participant's blogs to see their great creations!  There is a list of all the hoppers at the bottom of this post!

New RELEASE!

Good afternoon!  Sorry for the delay in posting, but as most of you likely experienced, Blogger had no intentions of letting me post any earlier!

As with all my Friday posts, it is new release day at Stamp Fairy!

This little cowboy is adorable, and I love his hat and that cactus!  You can find the rest of the new images here!

I began by printing out this image onto SU Whisper White cs, then coloured and shaded with my copics.  I used my Circle Nestabilities to cut him out.  The paper is all from my Cosmo Cricket Nutmeg collection.  The sketch is my take on the newest Splitcoast Stampers Sketch #332.

Quick post for me today.  We are expecting a few days of rain, so I am trying to finish up all my outdoor chores before it hits!

Have a great weekend!

Happy Anniversary..

A friend asked me to make an anniversary card for her to give to her parents.  I have been on a little Viva la Verve kick lately, and I just might get all the sketches done this month....before the last cut-off day!

This is based on the sketch for Viva La Verve May Week 2:

I started out by stamping the Wild Flower in More Mustard, Night of Navy and Baja Breeze ink.  I cut out the Baja Breeze one with scissors, and the other 2 were cut out using the Sweet Scallop Tag Die.  I used the "happy" part from Merry Wishes, and the
"anniversary" part from a Stamping Bella sentiment.

The paper is MME Stell & Rose Hattie. I also used my MFT Decorative Doily die-namic, and some SU Hemp Twine to finish off the card.

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies
Stamps - Wild Flower (Verve), Merry Wishes (Verve), Stamping Bella
Paper - Kraft, Whisper White, MME Stell & Rose Hattie

TESC 137 - Happy Birthday

Good morning!

I finally got to getting my card for the TE Sketch Challenge finished! It has been sitting on my desk staring at me for a few days!

I started out by stamping the birthday cake from Make a Wish in Memento Tuxedo Black, then colouring it with my copics.  I added some Espresso Dimensional Pearls to the top of the cake to make it look more like real chocolate frosting!
The paper is from the Scenic Route Sonoma line.

I used my Jumbo Scallop Die-namic from MFT to create the layers of scallops.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Have a great day!

More Mother's Day!

I hope everyone had a great weekend!  The weather here was INCREDIBLE, so we spent much of it outdoors.  Being outside all weekend, I totally forgot to post another Mother's Day card I had made.

I used the Viva La Verve May Week 1 sketch (again!) as my inspiration for this card.  I started by stamping the flowers from Bloom & Grow in Regal Rose and Riding Hood Red Ink, then cutting it out with the Floral Circles Die.  Then I stamped the heart, from Love Notes, in Memento Tuxedo Black onto some of the MME Stella & Rose Hazel paper.  It was then cut out using the Jotted Heart Die.  The leaves were stamped with Old Olive ink, then cut out using the Elegant Leaves die.

The sentiment is from Happy Phrases.

Thanks for stopping by!  I'm out to enjoy more of this fabulous weather.....and maybe get a tan while I am at it!

Supplies
Stamps - Bloom & Grow (Verve), Love Notes (Verve), Happy Phrases (Verve)

I got to use one of my favorite TSG stamp sets......Buckets of Love!

I wanted this card to be bright & cheery, so not like the weather we have been having lately!

I used papers from Echo Park Sweet Summertime.  The bucket and candy were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black, then coloured in with my copics.  The layout is the Mojo Monday Sketch #189.

Thanks so much for hopping by today!  Now, head on over to another extremely talented ladies' blog Kim Teasdale!

Happy Mother's Day! again!

I had a few friends ask me to make some Mother's Day cards for them.  This gave me a chance to play along with Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch this week!

I used the new Bloom & Grow set from Verve.  I seriously can't stop using this set....I LOVE IT!

I chose papers from the MME Stella & Rose Gertie line, and then stamped the flowers in coordinating colours....Regal Rose, Rose Red, So Saffron and Crushed Curry, to be exact!  I stamped the leaves in Old Olive, then cut out the leaves and one of the flowers using the Elegant Leaves die and the Floral Circles die.

I added the sentiment, from Happy Phrases, and that's it!  Simple, quick and sooooo pretty!  Have I mentioned that I LOVE the Bloom & Grow set!?

MFT Wednesday Sketch!

Unfortunately, I am running a little behind with my MFT sketches!  This is my card for MFT WSC #17!  (maybe I'll get to #18 this afternoon!)

On the inside, I used the Sweet Stack Labels again, and more of the Pretty Please DP!

Thanks for stopping by!!

Short and sweet tonight!  Must get supper, then off to VOTE!

Have a great night!
