Where did August go?

Good Morning!  Can you believe it...it's the LAST day of August!  My DD will be back to school next week, and our routine will once again fall into place.  I do love summer, but I also enjoy fall...the canning, baking, and usually more time in the stamp room!

Well, as per usual, I have waited until the last minute to get my August SFYTT card in!  I had the image stamped and coloured weeks ago, but never got the time to get the card put together!

Since it had been such a long time since my Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps had seem some ink, it was totally perfect that this was the August sponsor!

I stamped Miss Goldilocks onto SU Whisper White cs, then coloured her with my copics.  I added some Smooch Illuminate to her dress and the ribbons in her hair.

All the papers are from the MME Lime Twist Happy Go Lucky collection.

That's it from me!  Enjoy your day!

supplies
stamps - goldilocks (kraftin' kimmie stamps)
paper - kraft, whisper white, mme lime twist happy go lucky
other - button, twine (my mind's eye), vellum, smooch illuminate, copics

Thanks a bunch!

This past weekend, my DH and I attended a wedding.  This was our first, and only wedding this year...my how things have changed!  As a gift to the couple, I made thank you cards for them.

This was one of the designs -

As you may have guessed, their wedding colours were Brown, Gray and Cream!  I started by stamping the leaves from Bloom & Grow in Versamark onto SU Basic Gray paper.  The leaves were then cut out using the Elegant Leaves die.   The flower was stamped in Close to Cocoa ink, then Chocolate Chip, and then cut out using the Floral Circles die.  The sentiment is also from Bloom & Grow, and it was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto an oval cut out using my nestabilities.

The layout is August's Week 2 Sketch for the Viva La Verve challenge, over on Splitcoast!  I might manage to get all the challenges done this month!

That is it for today!  Off to get some cleaning, and maybe some stamping done!

supplies
stamps - bloom & grow (verve)
paper - basic gray, very vanilla, chocolate chip dp
other - floral circles die (verve), elegant leaves die (verve), nestabilities

All That Glitters...

Good Morning!

This week, the challenge at Sparkle's Christmas Card Challenge was GLITTER!

I didn't go crazy with the glitter......just enough!  My image is Cupcake with a Holly on top, from Stamping Bella.  I stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black, onto SU Whisper White cs, then coloured it in with my copics.  This is also a stamp that has been seriously neglected...I am not actually sure when I last used it!  With that said, this card is perfect for Jessie's Forgotten Stamp Friday #30!

My paper is Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses....and it is almost gone!  I might actually use up a pack of paper!

I used my new File Tab Die-namic, which I TOTALLY LOVE.  I will be using it A LOT!

The card was finished off with some pink ribbon from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Make sure you hop over to the CCC Blog and see all the glittery creations!

Friday!

Wow!  This week has just flown by!  The weather here has been incredible, and my garden seems to enjoy the weather as well!  I have been spending much of my time in the kitchen canning and freezing!  Enough about that though, it will be continuing for a month or so more!

Today is release day at Stamp Fairy!

Meet Spooky Barry!  I just love Barry, and this image was no exception!  I started by printing Barry out onto SU Whisper White cs, then colouring it in with copics.

I used some DP in Concord Crush and Tangerine Tango, then added a sentiment from AmyR Stamps.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Have a great day!

Another Blast from the Past!

Good Morning!  It's time for another Taylored Expressions Blast from the Past Blog Hop!

This month, Taylor's theme was Collector's Anonymous. Now, I am/have been a hoarder of many things, but the worst are ribbon and Designer Paper.  I would keep buying this incredible paper, and NEVER use it.  I have come to the realization that this great paper is MUCH better being used, then collected, so I have made big strides on reducing my enormous pile of paper.  (I even sold some in a garage sale!)

I started out by stamping the onesie, from Hangin' Out, onto a piece of DP from MME Stella & Rose Hazel, then cutting it out.  I mounted it onto a circle of Kraft cs, then a square of the DP.

I did follow Sankari's awesome sketch (for the most part!), I just omitted the sentiment panel, and chose to have it right on the DP.

Those gorgeous pearl brads are from American Crafts, and they had been sitting untouched for too long in my drawer, and they worked perfectly!  I finished the card off with my Little Open Scallop Die-namic from MFT along the panel for a little extra detail!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I can't wait to see all the hoppers' creations!

Be sure to check out the list below to see all the other hoppers today!

supplies
stamps - hangin' out (taylored expressions)
paper - kraft, whisper white, mme stella & rose hazel

Tuesday Morning Sketches..

only, I'm posting on Tuesday evening.....at least it is still Tuesday!

This week, Stamp Fairy is sponsoring the Tuesday Morning Sketch #107.  This week there is also a twist - use Blue, Green and White.

For my card, I used my new favourite Stamp Fairy character, Barry.  He was printed out onto SU Whisper White cs, then coloured with my copics.  I added some Clear Glaze to the balloon to give it a little shine.

The paper is from the Echo Park Little Boy collection.  I finished it off with some brads.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Snips & Snails

Good Monday Morning!  It's a cloudy and rainy morning here, but hopefully we'll get some sun peeking through later!

I am trying to get all my Viva La Verve sketches in this month....just to have the chance to win all those goodies!

My DS's day care recently welcomed a new little one into their family.  This was the card I gave them, along with a cute little outfit of course!

This is the August Viva La Verve Sketch Week 1, and I really love the simplicity of this layout.  To start I stamped heart, from Love Notes onto a piece of dp from the MME Stella & Rose Hattie collection, then cut it out using the Jotted Heart Die. Then, the "snips and snails" sentiment, from To The Moon, was stamped onto the heart.  I added the "welcome baby boy", also from To The Moon, and created a tag with it.

To finish off the card I added some stitches using Scrapper's Floss.

Thanks for stopping by today!

supplies
stamps - love notes (verve), to the moon (verve)
paper - early espresso, whisper white, mme stella & rose hattie
other - jotted heart die, scrappers floss

...on Blitzen!

Good Morning!

Hope you are all enjoying a lazy Sunday!  I am lucky enough to have been up super late, and then woken up by my DD, who was ready to watch TV.  She did sleep in a little, so I shouldn't complain!  And it's supposed to be a rainy day here.....so maybe a nap is in order!

The challenge today at Sparkle's Christmas Card Challenges was Christmas Cheer.

What better image to use that JJ, from Bugaboo Stamps.  She was printed out on SU Whisper White cs, then coloured with copics.  I used some old Bo Bunny DP from my stash.

I kept the layout pretty simple, as I wanted Miss JJ to be the center of attention!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Make sure you pop over to the Christmas Card Challenges Blog to see all the other creations!

Have a great day!

stamps - JJ (bugaboo stamps)

Goblins

Good Friday morning!  I hope you have all had a great week!  It's been a busy one, but that seems to be par for the course this summer!  It will be nice to get settled into routine again come September!

This week, Gerda created some Garden Goblins...and here's my take!

To be honest, this is one of my least liked cards I have ever created.  I had this great idea (or so I thought!) in my head, and I just didn't seem to get it out on the card.  I'll just have to play again!

My goblin was stamped on SU Whisper White cs, then coloured with copics.  I cut him out using my rectangle nestabilities.  The paper is from the Echo Park Little Boy collection.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Enjoy your day!

Oh, and be sure to stop by the Stamp Fairy Blog to see all the creations there!

stamps - garden goblins (stamp fairy)
paper - kraft, basic black, whisper white, echo park little boy

Bridal Party Bellas

Good Morning!

It's raining here (FINALLY!), and I hope it rains like this all day.  I'll be able to stamp, clean, and get stuff done in the house that just hasn't been done in a while!

On Saturday, I was at a friends Bridal Shower, and this is what I gave her!

I started by stamping Bridalpartybellas, from Stamping Bella onto some SU Very Vanilla cs.  I coloured them in with my copics, and then added some Stickles to the bride's dress.  They were cut out using my rectangle nestabilities.

The sketch for this card is based on Jen's Deconstructed Sketch #13.....LOVE her sketches!  I must remember to play along more often!

The paper is some old SU designer paper from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by today!

supplies
stamps - bridalpartybellas (stamping bella)

Release Day!

Good Morning!  I can't believe how fast this week has gone by...and we're in AUGUST!

Today, Stamp Fairy has another new release, and it is another set of Christmas images!

This is Lenny Ornaments.  He was printed out onto SU Whisper White cs, then coloured with copics.  I printed him out again onto some of the Bo Bunny Midnight Frost paper, to paper piece the ornament.

The layout didn't turn out quite how I had planned, but I don't "hate" it, so I went with it.  I used the sentiment from Verve's Merry Wishes.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Don't forget to hop over to the Stamp Fairy Blog to see all the other great creations!
