Stamp Fairy Release Day!

Happy Friday everyone!

Today is Release Day at Stamp Fairy!  You may have seen some of Gerda's latest releases over the last few weeks, and they are ADORABLE!  This week is no exception.  Here is George:

I printed George out onto some Whisper White CS, then coloured him in with my copics.  I added some Clear Glaze to his cocoa mug for some shine.  George and his mug are sitting on some fluffy white snow that I created with my Liquid Applique pen, which I heated up (using my toaster!) to puff it up.  I then cut him out and layered him onto a circle, cut out with my nestabilities.  The paper is Bo Bunny Midnight Frost.  To finish up the card, I added some Navy Glitter Bella Dots, and machine stitched the layers together!

Thanks for stopping by!

SUPPLIES
Stamps - George (Stamp Fairy)
Paper - Sahara Sand, Whisper White, Bo Bunny Midnight Frost
Other - Nestabilities, Copics, Clear Glaze Pen, Liquid Applique, Bella Dots, Sewing Machine, Color Box Chalk Ink (Ice Blue, French Blue)

My, oh my, it's Friday!

And that means it is a Bellarific Friday!  This week we had a great sketch to work with!

This is Zoe the Hearty Mug Girl, from the Green Bean Baby Line at Stamping Bella.  I think these girls are just adorable!  I stamped her with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White cardstock and then coloured her in with my copics.  I cut her out with my rectangle nestabilities.  The paper is all from the Cosmo Cricket DeLovely pack.  The sentiment is popped up using a tip (Susie Q-Tip) from Susan Liles, thanks Susan!  That's about it!  A pretty simple card, but I like the look!

Have a great Friday!

Supplies
Stamps - Zoe the Heary Mug Girl (Stamping Bella), Sentiment (Stamping Bella);
Paper - Choice Snow White, Melon Mambo, Baja Breeze, Cosmo Cricket DeLovely;
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black;
Other - Copics, Nestabilities, MFT Open Scallop Die-Namic

A Winter Birthday and some News!

First, some news!  I have been selected as one of the new members of the Stamp Fairy Design Team!  I was so excited when I got the email!

So, now, having said that, here is a birthday card I made using the adorable bear Donny, who was just released last Friday.  This also goes with the Stamp Fairy Challenge #1, using glitter!

I printed Donny out on X-Press Blending CS, and coloured him in with my copics.  I cut him out with my nestabilities, then sponged the edges with Color Box French Blue, and Color Box Ice Blue.  The paper is from Cosmo Cricket's Mitten Weather line, and the buttons and ribbon are from my stash!  I added some Sugar Sparkly Fluff to his hat, and Smooch Illuminate to the snowballs for some glitter!

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day

Supplies
Stamps - Donny (Stamp Fairy), Sentiment (Taylored Expressions); Paper - X-Press Blending CS, Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather, Crumb Cake; Other - Ribbon, Buttons, Nestabilities, Copics, Sewing Machine, Sugar Sparkly Fluff, Smooch Illuminate

It's A Snow Day!

It really is a snow day here in SW Ontario...for the second day in a row.  No school, lots of snow and CRAZY kids running around the house!

Even with the crazy kids, I did manage to finish a card!

This is Skating Bunny, from The Cat's Pajamas, and he is definitely enjoying his snow day!  He was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black onto some X-Press Blending CS and then coloured with copics.  I added some "snow" with my copics as well, then cut him out with my square nestabilities.  I used my new Big Scallop Border Cut Up, and some Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather.  The layout for this card is Card Patterns Sketch #93.

That's it for today!  Off to enjoy some snow!

Supplies
Stamps - Skating Bunny (The Cat's Pajamas); Paper - Kraft, X-Press Blending CS, Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather; Other - Nestabilities, Copics, Square & Scallop Square Punches, Big Scallop Border Cut-Up

Oh, The Countdown is On!

I can't believe that today is December 1!

Fortunately for me, my cards are ready to go and my shopping is nearly completed, so I am not stressing just yet!

Today's creation is a fairly simple one, but I do LOVE it!  This image is from Snowy Days by There She Goes Clear Stamps.  It has got to be one of the cutest images ever!  I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream cardstock and coloured it in with my copics.  I used my copics to create the illusion of snow falling.  I am pretty impressed with the effect (especially since it was my first shot at it!)  The sketch is Jen's SFYTT from Saturday.  The paper is more from my stash...SU Dashing.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Have a great Wednesday!

Supplies

Stamps - Snowy Days (There She Goes CS); Paper - Choice Buttercream, Old Olive, Real Red, SU Dashing; Other - Nestabilities, Copics, Bella BonBons

I'm Just Answering the Call...

Stamp Fairy is having a DT Call, and I thought I should give it a shot.  After all, you do get free images!  This is my first REAL Design Team entry, so we'll see how it goes.  I guess we must all start somewhere!

*For more information on the Stamp Fairy DT Call, click on the link!

I have three cards to show today, so I'll get right to it!

This is Oscar.  You might remember him from another lengthy post of mine last week.  Oscar was printed out onto Choice Snow White Cardstock, and colored with copics.  He was then cut out with Circle Nestabilities.  The paper is Echo Park Everybody Loves Christmas.

This sweet bear is Lenny.  He is actually a newly added Freebie at Stamp Fairy.  The sketch for this card is Sweet Sketch Wednesday #77.  The supplies for this card are from one of my Key Ingredients Kits by Taylored Expressions.  I think it is from September 2009!  That just proves how far these kits can go!  Lenny was printed onto Neenah paper, then coloured with copics.

Last, but certainly not least, is Winter Ella.  She is one of the newly released Puddle Jumpers (by Lori Boyd) from Claduia & Company.  These adorable stamps are one of my favourites, and I own ALL of them!  Ella and her sweet little penguin friend were stamped onto X-Press Bleding paper, and coloured with copics.  The sketch for this card is Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge #101.

Thanks for stopping by....and making it to the end of this LONG post!

TESC 134

Good morning!  I can't believe that the week is already half over!  I guess for my American sistahs the week is over today!

Despite all the layers, this card came together so easy!  I absolutely LOVE this set, Make a Wish, by Taylored Expressions.  The great thing about this set is that it is a part of the TE Giving Tree.  This means that a portion of the sales from this set is donated to a charity of choice, and from September to November these profits are going to the Make a Wish Foundation.  Talk about a great reason to get a stamp set!

The layout for this card, as mentioned in the title is Taylor's TESC #134.  I stared by stamping the cake with Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-Press Blending cardstock.  I then coloured it with copics and added Espresso Dimensional Pearls to the icing.  Then, I cut it out with my nestabilities and sponged around the edges with Memento Cantaloupe and Color Box Yellow Ochre.

The designer paper is from Imaginisce called Birthday Bash.

Supplies
Stamps - Make a Wish (Taylored Expressions); Paper - Crumb Cake, X-Press Blending CS, Riding Hood Red, Imaginisce Birthday Bash; Other - Copics, Nestabilities, Baker's Twine, Pearls, Espresso Dimensional Pearls, Corner Rounder

Oscar...three different ways!

After seeing THIS card by Jeanie for her That's Krafty Thursday, I had to go over to the Stamp Fairy site and check things out.  There are some absolutely ADORABLE images, and FREEBIES!!!

This is where I found Oscar! He just might be one of the cutest bears in the world!

This card is based on the Sweet Sketch Wednesday #76 challenge.  I printed out Oscar on Whisper White cardstock, and coloured him in with copics.  I added some Smooch Illuminate to the snowball to give it a little sparkle.  The designer paper is Echo Park Everybody Loves Christmas. The snowflake is from Winter Wonderland by Taylored Expressions, and was cut out using the matching Snowflake Die!

This card, again featuring Oscar, is based on the Card Patterns Sketch #91.  I love how simple this layout is, but how amazing the finished card looks!  The supplies are all the same as the first card (I'll save some time by NOT posting that again)!

My last Oscar card for today is the one, using Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch #94.  Again, as per the first two, all the supplies are the same, except I did add a panel embossed with the Swiss Dots Embossing folder!

It Started with such GOOD intentions....

I had all these cards made last week for challenges, and didn't manage to get them posted. So, today, I will add some, and hope that this week I can get caught up!

This card might be one of my favourite Christmas cards this year!  The sketch is Mojo Monday Sketch #165.  I will definitely keep this sketch to use in the future, it's so versatile!

The stamp set is Winter Wonderland from Taylored Expressions.  I LOVE the snowflakes and the fonts used in this set!  Lucky for me (and whoever else has this set!), there is a snowflake die that Taylor has to cut these gorgeous snowflakes out with.

The paper used for this card is Wintergreen, from Stampin' Up.  I used to hoard all my ribbon and designer paper for some reason, so my stash is huge, but at least it is getting used now!

This card also fits into Jeanie's That's Krafty Thursday #42 challenge!

Have a great Monday!

Supplies
Stamps - Winter Wonderland (Taylored Expressions); Paper - Crumb Cake, Choice Buttercream, Always Artichoke, SU! Wintergreen; Other - Sage Shadow SU Marker, Snowflake Die, Nestabilities, MFT Open Scallop Border Die, Certainly Celery ribbon

The theme Taylor gave us this week was Thankful. Here is what I came up with:

I absolutely LOVE this set, Discover Your Wings. It has to be one of my most favourite sets ever!

I started by stamping the flowers with Versafine Onyx Black ontio Crumb Cake CS. Then I cut it out with my rectangle nestabilities. With the die still in place, I sponged the inside with Memento Cantaloupe and Color Box Yellow Ochre.

The supplies used are all from the October Key Ingredients Kit. The DP is Imaginisce Apple Cider.

Be sure to check the list below for the complete list of hoppers! Thanks so much for stopping by. Enjoy!

This is my second post for today! Scroll down for my Claudia & Company Challenge Card.

These are the last batch of Thank You cards I have made for my SIL. I think these might be my favourite!

The sketch is Taylor's TESC #133. I used Discover Your Wings, from Taylored Expressions and stamped it with Versafine Black onto Crumb Cake. Then I layered it with Basic Black and Choice Snow White. The DP is Making Memories Black and White.

I added a punch of colour with the ribbon and the coloured panel behind the image! And then, the brads were added to complete the card!

Have a great Friday!

Claudia & Company Challenge #6

Happy Friday! I can't believe this week is nearly over!

Today is the Claudia & Company Challenge #6, and I am the Guest Designer for this week! I was SOOO EXCITED when Claudia emailed me! This month's challenge is to use Brown, Cream and another colour.

Here is my card:

This is School Time Lucy....she is just the cutest little thing! She totally reminds me of my DD, except her hair isn't quite long enough for those braids! I stamped her onto Choice Buttercream and coloured her with copics. I paper pieced her skirt and then cut her out.

The paper is SU Loves Me and the ribbon is from Michaels. The sketch is from Jen del Muro's SFYTT from October 30. To finish the card I did some machine stitching with my sewing machine!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend!

You're the Cat's Meow...

Firstly, being Remembrance Day, I would like to take a moment to thank our heros (past and present) for the freedom they have given this great country of ours. Lest we forget.

For today's card, I used another image that I had already printed and coloured. (this makes the process much quicker!)

This is Purrrfect, a digital image from Tiddly Inks by Christy Croll. I just LOVE him. He is the sweetest little kitty! He was printed onto Choice Snow White cardstock, and coloured with copics. I cut him out with circle nestabilities, and then sponged around the edges with Memento Canteloupe.

The sketch for this card is TESC 132, and the supplies are all from the Pet's Place Project Pantry.

That is all for today! Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies
Stamps - Purrrfect (Tiddly Inks), Pet's Place (Taylored Expressions); Paper - Pet's Place Project Pantry, Basic Grey Max & Whiskers, Crumb Cake, Choice Snow White; Other - Copics, Nestabilities, Brads, Sewing Machine, Paw Print Border Punch (EK Success)

Gator Greetings...

While cleaning my disaster of a workspace, I found a LARGE pile of images I had already stamped, printed, and/or coloured. I decided it was more than due time to reduce that pile, and man, does it ever make things easier when you choose from a pile of already stamped images....just pick and go from there!

This is a Birthday Alligator, from Bugaboo Stamps. He was printed out on Choice Snow White cardstock, and coloured with copics.

The sketch for this card is Mojo Monday Sketch #164. I made this card for a boy's birthday, so I omitted the ribbon. And, since my card uses Kraft (well Crumb Cake!), it also fits Jeanie's That's Krafty Thursday #41! (So glad Jeanie's back in Blogland!)

The paper is from Basic Grey Oliver. To finish the card, I did some machine stitching, and there you have it!

Supplies
Stamps - Alligator (Bugaboo Stamps), Sentiment (Claudia & Co.); Paper - Crumb Cake, Choice Snow White, Wild Wasabi, Basic Grey Oliver; Other - Copics, Nestabilities, Sewing Machine

I absolutely LOVE this set from The Cat's Pajamas. The bunny is soo cute, not to mention the sentiments that go with it!

This is Deep Breath, and I'll tell you again, I LOVE him! I created this card using the TCP Tuesday Challenge 132, using Red, Orange and Pink. The sketch for this card is Jen's SFYTT from October 23.

I started out by stamping the bunny onto Choice Buttercream cardstock, and colouring him in with my copics. I paper pieced his had and scarf and added some Sugar Sparkly Fluff to his hat.

The paper in this card is all from the Crate Paper Pink Plum collection.

And it's already Friday

Man, these days are flying by way too fast.....

The good thing though is it's Bellarific Friday! This week the challenge was a sketch.....here's what I came up with!

I used some new rubbah for this one, Alice, another great creation of Christy Croll's for Stamping Bella. She was stamped onto Choice Buttercream paper, then coloured with copics. I did paper piece the enormous mug! I would definitely LOVE a mug that big in my house, with my name on it so no one else would use it!

The papers for the card are from my June Key Ingredients kit, by Taylored Expressions. To finish off the card I did a little stitching with my sewing machine.

There you have it! Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies
Stamps - Alice (Stamping Bella), Paper - Crumb Cake, Choice Snow White, Hillary, October Afternoon Fly A Kite; Other - Sewing Machine, Nestabilities, Copics

Forget About the Cake...

go for the icing!

Doesn't that just about sum it up for most cakes out there?? I think it does for this one too!

I absolutely LOVE the sentiments that come with these Birthday Bunnies from The Cat's Pajamas. I had intended on doing the TCP Tuesday challenge from yesterday, but came across one I had missed from a few weeks ago, and decided to start there! This is from TCP Tuesday #131, which was to use pink embellishments. The sketch for this card is Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch #90.

I stamped the birthday bunny on Choice Buttercream with Memento Tuxedo Black, and coloured him with my copics. I used Espresso Dimensional Pearls for the icing on the cake, and added some Golden Rod Stickles around the candles. The embellishments are the pink and green buttons, that I tied with Scrapper's Floss.

It appears as though this post will be cut short due to the waking of my little man....at least I got the basics typed in!

Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy your day!

Stamps - The Cat's Pajamas; Paper - Crumb Cake, Choice Buttercream, Hillary, October Afternoon Fly A Kite; Other - Open Scallop Die-namic, Buttons, Scrapper's Floss, Espresso Dimensional Pearls, Copics

Another post for today!

In reality....the other post was supposed to be yesterday...but I never seem to get this blogging thing organized! So today it's a double!

This is Davey, one of Lori Boyd's adorable Puddle Jumpers. They are available from Die Cuts R Us.

The sketch for this card is the Mojo Monday Sketch #161. I can see myself using this sketch again!

Davey was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream, and coloured with copics. He was cut out with Circle nestabilities. The cardstock, ribbons and buttons are all from the Taylored Expressions October Key Ingredients kit. The colours in this kit were perfect for the Claudia & Company Challenge #5!

Wedding Bells are Ringing...

This past weekend we attended a friend's wedding. A few of the cards you may have seen up here last week were Thank You cards I had made for them as a wedding gift. Keeping with the theme of their wedding, and their gift I created this:

This card is so very simple, but I absolutely LOVE how it turned out. The image is one I purchased from iStockphoto.com. I printed it onto Choice Buttercream paper, and cut it out with my Circle Nesties.

The paper is from Cosmo Cricket's Mr. Campy line, and to finish it off, I used some Chocolate Chip saddle stitched ribbon, and some machine sewing.

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies
Paper - Crumb Cake, Choice Buttercream, Always Artichoke, Cosmo Cricket Mr. Campy; Other - Ribbon, Nestabilities, Sewing Machine

It's a Blast from the Past!

I can't believe another month has past...it's already time for another Taylored Expressions Blast from the Past Blog Hop. This month, Taylor has challenged us to create a Christmas card. I don't have any of the previously released Christmas sets, but I thought that I might be able to create one with Beary Special!

This is what I came up with. I had planned on using Sankari's amazing sketch, but ended up moving panels around to make things fit.

I stamped the bear and presents onto Choice Snow White, then coloured it in with my copics. Then I paper pieced his feet, ears, and a patch on his belly.

I machine stitched the layers on, added the ribbon, then the sentiment! It all fell together nicely!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I can't wait to check out all the fabulous creations everyone has! The full list of hoppers is at the end of this post!

Supplies
Stamps - Beary Special (Taylored Expressions), sentiment (AmyR Stamps); Paper - Crumb Cake, Choice Snow White, Perfect Plum, Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather; Other - Copics, Ribbon, Nestabilities, sewing

I have a friend getting married in a few weeks, and as a wedding gift to them, I am making their Thank You cards. I am nearly finished...hoping that will be tonight!

This card was inspired by Taylor's TESC #131. Taylor was so right, this is a GREAT sketch, and I can see myself using this many more times!.

The image is an iStock photo I purchased, then resized and printed onto Choice Buttercream. The DP is Cosmo Cricket Mr. Campy. The 'thank you' is from the Thankful Accents set by Verve, one of my most favourite Thank You sets!

Enjoy the rest of your day! Thanks for stopping by!

Think Pink!

Good Monday Morning! Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow Canadian bloggers!

It's the TCP Think Pink Customer Blog Hop, and since I am the proud owner of my first TCP stamps, I thought it was more than fitting that I participate!

For my card, I used Birthday Bunny. I totally fell in love with these adorable bunnies....they got me hooked! I stamped BB onto Whisper White CS, and coloured it in with my copics. I paired my pink paper with some Making Memories Black & White, following the TCP Tuesday 129 sketch for inspiration.

This is likely one of my favourite cards I have created...I was so happy with how it turned out!

Hope you all enjoy a great day today! Thanks for stopping by!

It's Friday Already?

This week has just flown by! Luckily, we are in for some Indian Summer weather this weekend, and Thanksgiving, so it is bound to be great! I also just noticed that my card from the Claudia & Company September Challenge was chosen as the winner! YAY!!

I created these cards because my baby stash was pretty much depleted! And I just got these two Puddle Jumpers from Die Cuts R Us, so it was time they got inked up!

I stamped Baby Jackson, and Baby Clairabeth onto Choice Snow White and coloured them in with my copics.

I used my September Key Ingredients Kit from Taylored Expressions for all the papers, and some hemp twine from my stash. The sentiment was stamped then cut out with Nestabilities and sponged some Antique Linen around the edges.

That's it for today...DD should be getting off the school bus shortly!

Enjoy your day!

Christmas..movie style!

This week, the challenge for Sparkle's Christmas Card Challenge was to incorporate your favourite Christmas movie into the card.

This Santa, who is from Bugaboo stamps, reminds me of the cartoon Santa at the opening and ending credits of my ALL TIME favourite Christmas movie, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation!

I printed Bobblehead Santa out onto Very Vanilla CS and coloured him in with my copics. The colours for this card are inspired by Stacey's Curtain Call Colour Challenge #49 - Real Red, Very Vanilla, Sahara Sand, Soft Suede and Basic Black.

I ran my Soft Suede panel through my Swirls Cuttlebug folder, then added some red ribbon to finish it off!

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies

Back In Gear...

well hopefully anyways! I have had great intentions of getting some cards made and posted, but it just hasn't happened! Maybe this week I can turn things around.

This is my very first card made using stamps from My Favorite Things....why have I waited so long! This is an A la Mode, Time to Celebrate. I just LOVE them!

The colour inspiration for this card is from the MFT Guest DT challenge on SCS, to use Rasperry, Lime Green, Aqua and a touch of Yellow. The Cosmo Cricket DeLovely paper works so perfectly with these colours, it was meant to be! The sketch is Jen del Muro's latest Sketch for You to Try!

I stamped this sweetheart with Memento Tuxedo Black, and coloured her in with my copics. I paper pieced the cake, and used Espresso Dimensional Pearls for the icing. I used the new Borderlicious set from Taylored Expressions for the faux stitching, and finished off the card with a button and some ribbon from my stash!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great day!

This was my submission as the Guest Designer of the week for Sparkle's Christmas Card Challenge. The challenge was to use tags.

This is JJ, all wrapped up in the holidays! She is one of many amazing images available at Bugaboo Stamps. Jeanie (the Spotted Chick) got me totally hooked on them! Thanks sistah! BTW - miss you....and Krafty Thursday!

I printed JJ and the sentiment out onto SU Very Vanilla CS and coloured her in with my copics. I then cut her out, and mounted her onto the diecut panel that I had sponged the edges with Always Artichoke ink.

The DP is Wassail from Basic Grey...I am finally starting to make a dent in my massive hoard of paper!

The sketch is Jen de Muro's SFYTT from September 18.

Welcome to the September edition of the Taylored Expressions Blast from the Past Blog Hop. They are the perfect incentive to make sure all my TE stamps get the lovin' they truely deserve!

Hopefully you have enjoyed the hop so far...but I won't keep jabbering....get you on your way!

This is Let's Do Coffee, one of the first Apple Doodle Ink sets to be released! I stamped the image onto Choice Snow White, and colored it in with my copics. The coffee beans are Espresso Dimensional Pearls. The papers from this card are all from the July Key Ingredients kit....I am not sure these colours "work" with this card, but the more I look at it, the more I like it!

Thanks so much for hoppin' by! Enjoy your day! (and the rest of the hop!) The list of hoppers is below!

A Little Bit of Amplee 'tude

This week's Bellarific Friday challenge was this sketch....designed by Linda Heavens. I never used to make square cards, but have started to recently, and now I think I make more square than A2!!

Here's what I came up with!
This is Amplee 'tude and I absolutely LOVE her hair...if only mine could look like that!

I stamped her with Memento Tuxedo Black, then coloured her in with my copics. All the shading was done with copics also.

The paper I used is Pixie-Licious, one of the new Cosmo Cricket releases.

Hope everyone has a great Friday, and a great weekend!

Puddle Jumping....

with some of my Puddle Jumpers. These adorable little darlings are designed by Lori Boyd, and are sold at Die Cuts R Us. If you haven't been to Lori's blog....be warned, she just opened up a new digi shop, and I'll probably be back there later today to grab all of the Lollipops and Puddle Jumpers I don't have in my collection!

On to the card...

This is Lucas! He was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and then coloured with copics. The challenge for this month at Claudia & Company was to use red. I just got this Basic Grey Oliver paper pack, and thought it would work perfectly! They layout is a Sweet Sunday Sketch by Karen from a few weeks ago. The ribbon is stapled so it doesn't look too girly!

This is going to work perfectly for my nephew's birthday next week!

Have a great day!

Supplies - Lucas (Puddle Jumpers), Sentiment (Stamping Bella); Paper - Basic Gray, Choice Snow White, Riding Hood Red, Basic Grey Oliver; Other - Copics, Nestabilities, Ribbon, Stapler

Just in the nick of time...

With a little luck, da Queen Bella herself is running a little late getting the Bellarific Friday cards posted, and she said we could still submit. I had all intentions of getting mine finished lastnight, but alas, another night, another task not accomplished!

I did manage to get it finished tonight!

The theme this week for Bellarific Friday was "Back to School". I am not sure how many kids skipped and jumped, but these little cuties made me think of little kids playing at recess! (I don't know if it is even called recess anymore!).

These little cuties are Jumping for Joy, a Tiddly Inks image designed by Christy Croll. I used my brand new pack of Pixie-Licious paper and the sketch for the card is Tracy's Sketchy Thursday. I kept the embellishment to null....mostly because I thought the image looked so cute, I didn't want anything to take away from it!

Hope you all have a great weekend! I'll be watching FOOTBALL all day Sunday!

Supplies -
Stamps - Jumping for Joy (Stamping Bella); Paper - Kraft, Rich Razzleberry, Cosmo Cricket Pixie-Licious; Other - Nestabilities, Copics

Christmas..clean and simple!

This week Sparkle challenged us to create a Clean and Simple Christmas Card....it was definitely trickier than I had thought!

My card has no stamping on it! I typed the sentiment in my trusty Photoshop and printed it out onto some SU Naturals White paper. Then, cut them out with my nesties, and layered it with some Basic Grey Wassail paper.

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies -
Paper - Naturals White, True Thyme, Cranberry Crisp, Basic Grey Wassail; Other - Nestabilities, Ribbon; Fonts - Font in a Red Suit, The King & Queen Font

Vintage Christmas...

The challenge this week for Sparkle's Christmas Card Challenge was to use a vintage theme. This was a little tricky for me....but here's what I came up with!

When I thought of vintage, the colours that came to mind were definitely browns and vanillas. I thought trying snowflakes might be interesting!

I used AmyR's Snowflakes set, from All That Scraps. The sketch for the card is Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch #82. I added some marble bella dots to the card as well!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Supplies
Stamps - Snowflakes (AmyR Stamps); Paper - Kraft, Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, Naturals Ivory; Other - Nestabilities, Bella Dots

It's Time for Another...

Taylored Expressions Blast from the Past Blog Hop!

Hope you are enjoying the hop thus far! I can't wait to see all the creations!

For my card today, I chose to use Sprinkled with Love. This is actually the first set I ever purchased from Taylored Expressions....and the one that got me hooked!!

I stamped the ice cream cone onto Choice Snow White, twice, and coloured it in with my copics. I cut out the ice cream part and popped it up on top, then coloured it with my Clear Glaze Pen, which actually shows up really nice in the picture! The paper is from DeLovely, by Cosmo Cricket.

Please make sure you stop by all the hoppers (they are in the list below!)

Have a great Tuesday!

Supplies
Stamps - Sprinkled with Love (Taylored Expressions); Paper - Kraft, Choice Snow White, Melon Mambo, Cosmo Cricket DeLovely; Other - Copics, Nestabilities, Glaze Pen, Apron Lace Border Punch

An SFYTT Christmas

I have finally gotten back to getting some Christmas cards made! I was on a roll.....then summer came!

This card was intended to work for Sparkle's Christmas Card Challenge....however the punch I did use wasn't a border punch! Oops!

The sketch for this card is from Jen's Sketch for You to Try. The Reindeer is from Bugaboo Stamps....he was printed out on Choice Snow White paper and coloured with copics. I used my Clear Glaze Pen on the lights, and added some stickles to make them appear as though they were lit!. The paper is from SU, called Ski Slope. To finish the card I added some Glitter Bella Dots, and some red ribbon.

Have a great Sunday!

I stamped her with Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured her in with my copics. All the supplies used on the card are from the Summertime Project Pantry Kit from Taylored Expressions. These kits are sooooo perfect! They have everything you need!

Wouldn't it be nice..

if we could all drive around a hot pink scooter? Some days I think it would be great! ( my kids likely wouldn't think the same!)

This is Scooter Chloe, one of my favourite stamps from Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps! She was stamped on some Choice Snow White and coloured in with my copics. Her scarf was paper-pieced with some of the Olivia paper by Basic Grey. The sketch for this card is from the Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps Challenge #6.

Babies, Babies...

and more babies!

A few of my girlfriends are expecting, or have already had their little bundles this summer! This card was for a friend's baby shower that was last month. She had a little girl just a few weeks ago!

I found this ribbon at Wal-Mart a while ago, and this was the base for the card! I use Babycarriageabella, from Stamping Bella. Man, I wish I looked as cute as her pregnant! I coloured her in with my copics, and used some stickles for a little bit of glitter! The patterned paper is from a Martha Stewart pack that I picked up some time ago. To finish the card, I added some Chocolate Bella Dots.

Have a great Wednesday!

I'm Baaaack!

Did you think I fell off the planet? I think I almost did! It has been an extremely hectic summer, but now that things are starting to wind down, maybe I'll be able to get some more regular posting done! (not to mention catch up on all the challenges I have been missing out on!)

Today I have two cards to show you. They are going to be part of a set for my SIL for their wedding Thank Yous.

I absolutely LOVE this set from Taylored Expressions. It's called Summer Afternoon, and as soon as it was released, I knew it would work PERFECTLY for these cards! I have also used the Many Marvelous Monograms from Taylor's store, definitely a must have!

The base of the cards is Kraft (my fave!), ohhhh, making these a perfect submission for Jeanie's That's Krafty Thursday #38!! The DP is Making Memories Black and White and the ribbon is actually left over from their wedding decorations!

Thanks for stopping by!

A few Christmas cards per week....

makes one not so stressed come Christmas!

After a few week hiatus from Sparkle's Christmas Card Challenge, I have returned! This week it was a sketch challenge, and here is what I came up with!

This is another Rudolph image from Bugaboo Stamps! He was printed onto SU Very Vanilla and then coloured with copics. The paper is more from my hoarded stash, Dashing from SU! I added some Smooch Illuminate top coat to the ornament to make it a little sparkly, which the camera actually seemed to capture!

That's all for today. Time to get the kids ready for a sleepover at my parents!

Have a great weekend!

Supplies
Stamps - Bugaboo Stamps
Paper - RIver Rck, Very Vanilla, Old Olive, Real Red, SU Dashing DP

Happy Anniversary...

to my DH (who won't be reading this, but oh well!) Today is our 5th Anniversary....and we're headed to the Jays game!

Before we go, I thought I would get some blogging done!

First is the card I made him for our anniversary!

For the image I chose my beloved Stella & Gus from Bugaboo Stamps. Thanks to Jeanie (the Spotted Chick), I am totally hooked on these stamps! Gus and Stella were printed onto some SU Very Vanilla CS, and coloured in with copics. The sketch for the card is this week's Mojo Monday sketch, and the colours are from the Color Throwdown #100 challenge!

Babies, Babies...

everywhere! One of my friends from University just had (well a month ago!) a little boy. I thought that the Hangin' Out set from Taylored Expressions would be a perfect fit! (have I said how much I LOVE these new sets from TE!?!?)

The sketch for this card is Taylor's Sketch #119. As one can probably tell, I paper-pieced the onesies with the DP, which I believe is My Minds Eye. For the rest, I dug out some old punches for the sentiment, and my star border punch for some detail.

Thanks for stopping by! I will hopefully return with another post today....I have a few cards finished, and need to get them up! Plus, I'll have to be back for the TE release....which is going to be soon!

Saddle Up!

It's another scorcher here in SW Ontario, so we are keeping the outdoor activities to a minimum! Which means I can actually get a card or two (and even a blog post!) done!

My sister-in-law asked me to make a birthday card for a friend...the only request was that it had something to do with horses! Luckily, I had just bought this digi stamp from The Digi Shack, so I knew exactly what I was going to do!

I printed the image out on some SU Very Vanilla, and coloured it in with my copics. Then I cut it out with my Square nesties, and sponged around the edges with Yellow Ochre chalk ink. The sketch for the card is from Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch #76. The paper I ended up finding in my stash, after I had already coloured the image. (gotta love it when that happens!)

Supplies
Stamp - The Digi Shack
Paper - Soft Suede, Kraft, Very Vanilla, Cosmo Cricket Mr. Campy
Other - Nestabilities, Copics, Button, Twine, Chalk Ink, Sponge

TE Blog Hop Day!

It's hard to believe it has already been a month since the last Taylored Expressions Blast from the Past Blog Hop! I had such a great time with the last one, I jumped at the chance to do it again!

If you are just stopping by my blog and would like to start this hop from the beginning, please hop over to Taylor's blog to get started!

For my card I used Bakery Business and Window Shopping. I absolutely LOVE the versatility of these sets, not to mention how adorable they are! All the supplies are from the May Key Ingredients kit, which fits the colour palette that was an extra challenge for this hop. The images were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured with copics. The Bakery window and the "open" sign were both popped up with pop dots.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Enjoy the rest of the hop! I am really looking forward to it!

Have a great day!

Supplies
Stamps - Window Shopping (Taylored Expressions), Bakery Business (Taylored Expressions)
Paper - Java, Pebbles Treehouse DP, Choice Snow White
