I finally got a chance to sit down and get a card made….it feels like it's been forever!
I love a great sketch, and the Deconstructed Sketch is definitely a great place to start. Jen has awesome sketches!
This card was made for a friend, who needed one for her nephew's 4th Birthday. It had to be John Deere themed too! This excavator worked perfectly!
The number is a die from Paper Smooches, as is the sentiment. The excavator is from an old Stampin' Up set.
Short and sweet for me tonight….back to work!

My Last TPE Post
Good afternoon all!
As my title indicates, this is my last post as a DT Member of the Pink Elephant. I had such a great time working with all the TALENTED members of the DT. Now I'll just have to keep up with the challenges as a participant!
This week the challenge was wedding/anniversary.
Here's my page:
I just love how this page came together. It's from a kit called Homey Heart.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

{DS119} Minnie and her Lights
Good Morning!
Fall has definitely arrived here in SW Ontario. There's a bit of frost on the ground, and it is time to break out the slippers in the house!
I've finally got to starting my christmas cards (a little late for me!) and thought that the latest Deconstructed Sketch was a perfect starting point.
I started out with Minnie's Christmas Lights, by Tiddly Inks Digitals. She was printed out, coloured, then cut out. I added some Smooch Glitter to the lights.
The paper is from the Winter Fun collection by Carta Bella.
Thats it from me today! Thanks for stopping by.
{TPE-218} Dots & Stripes
Good Morning!
Hope your week is off to a great start! It's cool, but sunny here...a welcome change from the end of last week!
This week the challenge at The Pink Elephant is Polka Dots & Stripes. Here's how I incorporated that into my project:
I pulled this page together using everything from the Painting Rainbows kit, by Fayette Designs. Lucky for me, the frame and border came in these lovely dots!

I'm Here!
Good Morning!
Let me tell you.....it feels so good to be getting back into a routine! Things are settling into place, and I'm finding more time to be creative!
A few weeks ago, I became an aunt again. My SIL and BIL welcomed a sweet little girl into the world. Poor thing's got two older brothers though!
As a gift, I made these:
I love how these cards turned out, and my SIL loved them too (which is even better!).
They are definitely a conglomerate of companies! The "i'm here" is from the I'm Here set, by Stampin' Up. It was one of the very first sets I ever purchased! It was stamped in Memento Black ink, then cut out using circle nestabilities. The onesie was cut out using the Onesie Die from Paper Smooches. The hearts were cut out in Bazzil white, and Strawberry Slush CS using the Of The Heart Dies from Lil' Inker Designs.
In the background, the Ink Splash, from Neat & Tangled was stamped using Strawberry Slush, Pretty in Pink and Crumb Cake. And finally, the flags were cut out using the Flag It Die set from Verve.
The DP is from Bundle of Joy by Echo Park.

{DS118} Happy Birthday
Good Afternoon!
The nice thing about fall is that once the kids get back into school, life settles back into routine. Yes, technically it's much busier, but it seems so much easier than the chaos (but fun!) that is summer.
I've finally been able to make some time for myself to actually make cards!
This is one I created for Jen's Deconstructed Sketch #118.
I had already coloured this sweet Anna Belle Birthday Wishes, from Tiddly Inks a while ago, but had never finished the card.
The papers are all from MME Lime Twist Life of the Party. The sentiment is from the Sentiment Sampler set, by Paper Smooches.
This is a sketch I'll definitely go back to. I LOVE the look of it!

Anything Digital!
Good afternoon!
Hope your week has started off great! The weather is getting chilly here, but at least the sun is shining! It's a far cry from this time last week, when it was tank tops and shorts!
The challenge this week at The Pink Elephant is to use digital papers, or a digital image. Since I'm a digital scrapper, this was an easy one!
Here's my page:
My youngest son has been able to dole out the "stink eye" almost since birth! I've been able to catch some of these looks on camera, which is priceless!
Fittingly, the kit I used for this page is called Mood Swings, by Fayette Designs.
Thanks for stopping by today.
Be sure to head over to The Pink Elephant Blog to see all the great work by the DT. And, while you are there check out the DT Call!

Smiles at the Beach
Good Morning!
It's September.....kids are in school (I've now got 2 of 3 in school!) and my life is starting to settle into routine. I've been able to re-appreciated being at home, and the amount I can accomplish in a day now!
With the start of a new week, is the start of a new challenge at the Pink Elephant. The challenge this week is a Nautical theme. After a summer spent at our trailer, near the shores of Lake Huron, I don't have a shortage of photos!
Here's what I came up with this week:
All items on this page are from the Some Beach collection, by Fayette Designs.

{TPE-212} Orange!
Good Morning!
This week's challenge from The Pink Elephant is brought to you by the colour orange!
Here's what I came up with:
I pulled elements from Fayette Designs Tangerine Dream for this page, as well as a wood background page. The sketch is based on an older sketch from Sketches in Time.
Thanks for stopping by today! Enjoy your day!

{TPE211} Texture
Good Morning! I hope you are all enjoying another great week!
This week, the challenge at The Pink Elephant was to use texture. You can't feel the texture on my page, but you can see it!
I used pieces from Jen C Designs, A Boy's Life to create all the textures on my page.
Short and sweet here.....back to the task of enjoying this sunshine before it's gone!
Have a great day!

{TPE209} Monochromatic
It's time for another challenge at The Pink Elephant! This week we were given the task of creating with a Monochromatic theme.
Here's what I created:
I went with a green colour scheme for my page, since I had just taken this picture of my youngest son, who cannot go long without his little plastic lawnmower at our trailer! It even worked that the onesie he was wearing was green too!
The layout is based on this great sketch from Sketches in Thyme! I love how quickly this page came together, and especially the final product!
All supplies used on this page are from the Mostly Moss kit, by Fayette Designs.
Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to head over to the Pink Elephant Challenge Blog to see all the great submissions!

{TPE207} Woodgrain
Good Morning! This week totally got away from me! We are on holidays, and as per usual, I am late getting my post up.
This week the challenge at the Pink Elephant is to use Woodgrain. Here is what I came up with:
I went super simple with this page, letting the Woodgrain and the turquoise accents stick out.
The Woodgrain was a free download, and the accents are from the Aqua Mist kit by Fayette Designs.
That's all for today! Enjoy your day!

{TPE-206} Red, White & Blue
Good Morning!
It's another glorious summer day here...so this post will be a quick one!
With Independence Day getting closer for my friends to the south, the challenge at The Pink Elephant is another inspiration challenge:
Since our family photos a few years ago used the same colour palette, it was perfect for this page:
The sketch I followed is from Sketches in Thyme. If you are looking for some great scrapbooking sketches do head over to their blog. There are tons!
The supplies on this page are all from the Bluejeans & Daydreams kit, by Fayette Designs.

Good Morning!
It's a new week....meaning it's time for another challenge from The Pink Elephant! This week, we have a gorgeous photo as inspiration.
I used both the colours and the theme as my inpiration for this page I created:
I used supplies from Fayette Designs Cool Breeze kit, perfect for a beach scene!

{TPE 203} Father's Day
The theme at the Pink Elephant this week was a Father's Day theme! Fitting, yes?!
I had this awesome photo of my DH and DS that I thought would work perfectly!
I love how this page turned out for me. The supplies are from Jen C Designs, A Boy's Life.

{TPE202} Ready, Aim, Fire!
This week's challenge at The Pink Elephant is a Summer Time theme. I don't know about any of you reading this but I've got more than a few summer photos that need scrappin'!
I thought this one would be perfect for the challenge!
As is the case for most young boys, my son absolutely loves water guns! He definitely had a blast with this one!
All supplies are from the Cool Breeze kit, by Fayette Designs.

{TPE-201} Stars & Stripes
Ack! I totally forgot to get this posted....forgive me....
The challenge (that is now nearly over!) this week at the Pink Elephant is Stars & Stripes.
Since I'm a Canadian gal, I took the Stars & Stripes theme an alternate route!
I took monthly pictures of my youngest for the first year of his life. As you can see, I'm at month 11, so I am nearly caught up!
All the supplies from this page are from the Mood Swings kit, by Fayette Designs.

{TPE200} Graduation
Good Morning!
It's a holiday weekend here in the north! If you're one of my fellow Canucks, hope you're enjoying your extended weekend! If not, thanks for stopping by, and I'm pretty sure you have a long weekend next weekend!
The theme of this week's challenge at The PInk Elephant is Graduation. My take on this is likely not exactly what would first come to mind.
Take a look, then I'll explain!
I took the plunge and became a Fitness Instructor. After our weekend of training, we "graduated" to being ready to start teaching. It's a lengthy process, but now that I'm certified, and teaching on my own, completely worth it.
So this is my Graduation picture of sorts!
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great Monday!

{DS99} Birthday Wishes
Good Morning!
It's amazing how good one can feel just getting some crafty time, making cards and scrapbooking! I feel like a new person!
I LOVE Jen's Deconstructed Sketches, so my mission now is to get some of them caught up!
Here's my take on Sketch 99!
I absolutely love this style of sketch! There are so many things you can do with it.
I started by printing this adorable Sweet Treat Wryn out, and colouring her in with copics. I pulled out some old paper from My Minds Eye, and set to work! The sentiment is from Surely Goodness, a new set from Verve.

{VLV} With Sympathy
Good Morning! It's a rainy Monday here....perfect for a day off from the gym, running errands, lunch with some girlfriends, and even some crafty time.
I had a friend need a sympathy card, and the Viva La Verve sketch from Week 5 was a perfect fit.
I used the new Surely Goodness set, stamping the flowers on the DP, then cut them out using the Goodness Flowers Die Set. I am really loving how you can quickly make a beautiful flower using this combo!
The sentiment was from my Treasured Words set, one of my heavily used ones right now! I LOVE the fonts!
The paper is from an old pack I found hiding in my pile - MME Stella & Rose Hazel.

{VLV} Happy Birthday
Keeping with my goal for April, I bring you the Viva La Verve April Week 3 card!
I'm slowly building up my stash of cards, and the Birthday cards had been the hardest hit.
Here is the card I created:
I started out by stamping random numbers from the Calendar Countdown set in Versamark ink on my Kraft cardstock. Then I stamped the sentiment from Treasured Words in Riding Hood Red ink, then cut it out with my nestabilities.
In a never ending battle of cleaning up older packs of designer paper, I pulled out this Birthday Bash paper by Imaginesce.

{TPE-SC55} Anything Goes
Good Afternoon!
This week the challenge at The Pink Elephant is WIDE OPEN! So anything goes!
I've been trying to get some wedding photos scrapped (our wedding was almost 8 years ago!).
I used an old Deconstructed Sketch as the starting point for this page. It was pretty quick to put together too, with all the supplies coming from the I Heart You kit by Fayette Designs.

Birthday Dancer
Good Afternoon!
My daughter had a birthday party for a friend at a dance studio, so we made this card for her.
My DD picked out this image, Tiny Dancer, from Tiddly Inks. Perfect for a little girl's dance themed birthday party!
She was coloured with copics and cut out using a rectangle nestie. My DD picked the colours, wanting a pink, black and white theme.

Baby Boy
Good Morning!
Thursday....already!
I'm back with another baby card. Since I posted a baby girl card the other day, it's only proper that I add a baby boy card!
I used an old Mojo Monday sketch for this card, one I had tucked away and hadn't gotten to using. I love the layers in this sketch and the huge number of possibilities for it.
Again, using my favourite baby images, this time Baby Boy, from Tiddly Inks. He was printed off, then coloured using my copics and cut out.
The paper is from an old pack, I believe it is My Minds Eye. I've really got to get these piles of paper dwindled some day!!
Thanks for stopping by.

{VLV} Happy Birthday!
Good Morning!
I am back, for the third day in a row! I decided that I was going to get back into the Viva La Verve Challenges. I'm a huge fan of sketches, and when there is the chance at getting some Verve-y goodness at the end of it, its makes it that much sweeter!
I made a total of 6 cards with this awesome sketch.
These new dies from Verve are awesome! So glad they happened to make it to my house!
I decided to go with a rainbow theme to the card. I cut out rectangles then used the Starry die to create the stars. Then I used the die to get the stars in all 6 colours - Real Red, Elegant Eggplant, Tempting Turquoise, So Saffron Tangerine Tango & Lucky Limeade.
I then used the Flag It die to create the flags in the six colours. To finish off the card, I stamped Happy Birthday, from Treasured Words, and added some doodles around the edge of the rectangle.
Here is a closer shot of one of the cards:

Sweet Baby Girl
Good Morning!
I'm hoping this can be the start of some regular posting. It's been so nice to get time at my desk to be a little crafty!
I have a lot of friends who are having babies, so it was time to up the stack of baby cards!
This Baby Girl from Tiddly Inks is one of my favourite baby stamps! She seems to be a staple on all my baby cards!
She was coloured using copics, then cut out and mounted on the circle. The paper is so fun and bright, and the name completely escapes me!

A card....I finally made a card!
Good evening!
My birthday card stash has gotten nearly non-existent, so I'm working on getting it built back up!
I used stamps from Dream Big and Surely Goodness sets, as well as the Scalloped Flowers and Dreamy Leaves dies.
The papers are from the Indie Chic Saffron collection by MME.
Thanks so much for stopping by! I'm looking forward to more regular card making!
As my title indicates, I really did finally make a card, and get it posted! It hasn't happened in such a long time. My mojo was GONE for the longest time. I guess going back to work after being a SAHM for a while killed it. I think things are adjusting now, so maybe I'll be able to get some creative stuff done again!
I figured a great place to start getting crafty again would be the Viva La Verve Sketch Challenges. I LOVE my Verve Stamps, and had some new ones that needed to get inky!

{TPE-SC53} Um Spring
This week the challenge at The Pink Elephant Scrapbook Challenge was to use a Spring-y theme. It's not even close to being spring for April here, so my page has a slightly different side to it!
I used supplies from the Bloom kit by Fayette Designs to create this page. The sketch for this page is from the Sketches in Thyme Challenge #107. I have just found this blog, and I'll be heading there a lot. It's always great to have a sketch to start with!
They are having a DT Call also, so head over there and have a peek!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!

{TPE-SC51} Easter!
Good Morning! It's a beautiful (but NOT spring-like!) Saturday here, and with a new Saturday brings a new Pink Elephant Challenge! This week's challenge is Easter! (since it's only 1 week away!)
I had hoped to get a few more pages finished, since I don't have many Easter pages actually scrapped....but I've just got one!
Here it is:
Last year we took the kids to Great Wolf Lodge for Easter. Oh what a blast they had!
This page was created using the Blue Skies kit, by Fayette Designs.

{TPE-SC50} Green!
Good Afternoon!
With St. Patty's day just behind us, the challenge this week at the Pink Elephant is GREEN!
I went with a page that is kind of close to leprechauns!
This beautiful rainbow was so vivid, it was hard to imagine there wouldn't be a pot of gold at the end of it!
All supplies are from the Green Envy kit from Fayette Designs.

{TPE-SC48} Mischief
ACK! So apparently in the chaos that is my life, I completely forgot to post my TPE page this week!
Better late than never though right?
The challenge this week at the Pink Elephant is to use either Hexagons or Chevrons.
I used one of my favourite kits, Monster Jam by Fayette Designs. I love everything about this kit!
Quick post for me today.....just getting ready for work!

{TPE-SC47} Banners
Good Afternoon!
I'm a little late getting this post up. But, definitely better late, than never!
The challenge this week at The Pink Elephant is Banners! I love using banners in my work, both in my cards, and scrapbook pages.
Here is what I created for this week's challenge:
Lucky for me, the new You kit, by Fayette Designs was packed full of these great banners!
Thanks so much for stopping by today. Make sure you check out all the great work by the rest of the TPE Creative team!
Have a great day!

{TPE} Ella's Birthday Blog Hop!
Good Morning!
Today is a very special day. One, I made a card for the first time in almost 3 months! Two, and most importantly, it is Ella (the Pink Elephant's) birthday!
We are celebrating Ella's birthday with a Blog Hop in her honour!
You should have come here from the talented Stacey Shafer's blog! If not, head over there and start off. You'll want to make sure you comment on EVERY blog for your chance to win some amazing prizes. For a complete list of prizes, check out the Pink Elephant Blog.
For my card today, Ella is obviously the main attraction. I coloured her with copics, then cut her out. I used papers from the Crate Paper Fourteen collection.
The sentiment is from Verve.
Thanks so much for stopping by today. Your next stop on the hop is Joni Wilson.

{TPE-SC46} Pink Prints
Good evening! I hope you all are having a great weekend!
This week, the challenge at The Pink Elephant is one of Ella's Pink Prints, or more often referred to as a sketch!
Here's my take on it!
I used supplies from the Mostly Moss kit, by Fayette Designs.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Be sure to come back next week as we celebrate Ella's 4th Birthday!

{TPE-SC46} Country Roots
This week, the challenge at The Pink Elephant was to give a previous layout a lift.
Since my life has been absolutely crazy lately, I went with the sketch from last week's challenge (which I also forgot to post!).
So last week, I created this page, based on the sketch.
I love this photo of my little guy. I'm not sure which one of them actually likes the water more! The supplies for this page are all from the Cool Breeze kit, by Fayette Designs.
From the previous layout, I lifted it a bit, adding some bigger embellishments to create this page:
The supplies used in this page are all from the Pure Country kit, again by Fayette Designs.

{TPE-SC43} 8 months
Sorry I'm late today. I spent all day getting my First Aid and CPR certification, and totally forgot to post this before I left!
This week, the challenge at The Pink Elephant is this awesome colour challenge!
I thought this colour scheme would work perfectly with a photo of my little man at 8 months.
The supplies used in this page are all from the Child of My Child - Boy kit, by Fayette Designs.
I'm so sorry its been so quiet here. Life is hectic right now, and card making and scrapping seems to take the brunt of it. I'm hoping for a few extra minutes soon to have some much needed creative time!
Until next time!

It's a Pink Elephant Blog Hop!
Good Morning!
Today is a great day! Why you ask? Well, for starters, it's the first day of the NFL Playoffs! The other GREAT part about today, is it's the official start to my term as a member of the Pink Elephant Creative Team!
There's my official Creative Team Banner! It's my first real CT Banner, so I'm pretty excited!
A little about me - I'm a farm girl, married to my best friend with 3 amazing kids (who you'll see a lot in my work now!), ages 6, almost 4 and 10 months. I work as a Graphic Designer and also at our local GoodLife Fitness. I'm so excited to work with such a fabulous & talented group of ladies! Thanks again Lori for this opportunity!
It's also super exciting today, because all the Pink Elelphant CT members are participating in a Blog Hop!
If you've just happened upon my blog, and would like to start at the beginning of the hop, head over to the Pink Elephant Challenge Blog and get started!
If you have arrived here from Sherry's Blog, you are on the right track!
This week, I created 3 pages for the hop. I made a goal for 2013 to scrap at least 3 pages per week! So far, I've stuck to my goals! (too bad it is just the first week!)
My first and second pages use supplies from the January Frost kit, by Fayette Designs.
My third page, was created using supplies from the Oh Boy kit, by Lindsay Jane Designs.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you come back each week to see the great challenges we have at The Pink Elephant! Take some time and create something for this challenge...you could be the lucky winner!
Your next stop on the hop is Susie!
